Indianapolis Colts. 19. team. 46. WOW. Just when you thought Chuck Pagano’s team was headed in a downward spiral, they rose up and pummeled the Vikings at Minnesota. Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis offense rolled up 411 total yards and were an impressive 7-of-13 on third-down conversion attempts. Veteran running back Frank Gore came up with 101 yards rushing on 26 carries, while Luck threw for 250 yards and two scores without being sacked. The Colts’ defense came up with its best effort of the season, holding the Purple Gang to 34 yards rushing while sacking Sam Bradford five times. And Pagano’s club came up with three Minnesota turnovers and held the slumping Vikings to 282 total yards.
Next Week: The Colts head west to face the Oakland Raiders, who have secured a playoff appearance thanks to their 19-16 win over the San Diego Chargers. It may surprise some to know that the Colts have a winning record on the road this season (4-3) and face a Raiders’ club that’s lost on its own turf to both the Falcons and Chiefs earlier this year.

Playoff hopes: Hanging on by a thread and at the mercy of both the Houston Texans and Tennessee Titans, both at 8-6 and one game ahead of the Colts in the AFC South standings. Indianapolis swept the Titans this season but lost both of their encounters to Houston. It’s safe to say they’re going to need more than a little help.
. 7-7. Previous:
