RB. Florida State. Dalvin Cook. 14. player. 46.

One of the more surprising victories of this past weekend was the Indianapolis Colts throttling the Vikings on the road, as Andrew Luck shredded a very good Vikings defense. Luck has been under fire this season due to a sorry offensive line, that has hung him out to dry on a weekly basis. He is an incredible talent at the quarterback position, but he needs help if he is going to bring the Colts back to the top of the AFC South.

While Frank Gore is doing a nice job climbing the all-time lists as far as running backs go, he has not been a very effective runner this season. He has yet to crack the 100-yard barrier, and his days as a feature back are certainly numbered. Next season, the team needs to bring in some youth at the position, and Florida State’s Dalvin Cook may be the answer.

Cook has had a record-setting career at Florida State, and has the size and speed to be an effective runner at the next level. The Colts can certainly hang on to Gore in a supplementary capacity next season, but it is time to turn the page. Cook would be a solid addition in the run and pass game, and would give Luck some added security out of the backfield.
