DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-December 23
High Value SG
Lou Williams-Los Angeles Lakers (5,900): Williams had 32 fantasy points last night on 27-2-1 against the Heat in his 28 minutes in Miami. With Julius Randle away and Larry Nance Jr. out, Williams should have no trouble getting minutes since Brandon Ingram and Luol Deng are busy in the front court leaving him the time at the two-guard. Williams has at least 30 fantasy points in three of his last four and should be able to produce against the Magic tonight in Orlando.∗∗∗
Eric Gordon-Houston Rockets (5,700): Gordon plays a similar role to Williams for the Rockets as he drives their scoring in the second unit. Gordon has at least 36 fantasy points in three of his last four games and at least 29 fantasy points in four of his last five. He had 24-2-3 and a steal against the Suns on Wednesday for 36.5 fantasy points. He is a little riskier than usual based on a tough matchup with Memphis, but he’s still one of the better sub-6K options based on his scoring potential.∗∗∗
Garry Harris-Denver Nuggets (4,900): Harris’s strong return from his sprained right foot came to a crashing halt in a blowout loss to the Clippers on Tuesday. He had 39.5, 24.75, and 37 fantasy points in his firs three games back but only managed 9.0 fantasy points on the second half of his back-to-back. He should be fine to bounce bak tonight, though, at home against the Hawks. Since he starts while the rest of these high-value options come off the bench, he’s a little bit safer of a play. ∗∗∗∗
Brandon Knight-Phoenix Suns (4,500): Knight was a regular in my DraftKings daily picks last season when he was healthy, but he hasn’t been here much this year since he has struggled to his role coming off the bench. His last couple games have been promising though with 28 fantasy points (on 21-2-4) against the Timberwolves an 32.25 fantasy points (on 17-5-2) against the Rockets. Knight is still risky coming off the bench, but he’s a option under 5K with lots of upside tonight as the Suns host the Sixers.∗∗∗
Iman Shumpert-Cleveland Cavaliers (4,200): Another ultra-cheap play tonight is Iman Shumpert who will need to step into a bigger role for the Cavs while J.R. Smith is sidelined. Shumpert had a good game against the Bucks on Wednesday with 10-3-4, a block, and a steal for 25.25 fantasy points and should be able to stay very involved regardless of game situation tonight against Brooklyn.∗∗
