High Salary PF

Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (11,700): Davis and the Pelicans welcome in the Heat tonight which should be a great matchup for “The Brow” to go off in. Of all the 10K+ options, he is my favorite on a points-per-dollar basis based on the matchup against the Heat who don’t have any answers for his size. Davis posted two strong games earlier this week with 31-16-2 for 56.2 fantasy points against the 76ers and 34-15-2 for 59 fantasy points against the Thunder. He had yesterday off and has two more days off before hosting the Mavericks on Monday. Davis has over 50 fantasy points in four of his last six games although he hasn’t really “gone off” for over 60 since early in the month the first time he faced the Thunder. In tonight’s matchup, though, I could easily see him getting 70+ against a tired and under-sized Miami team.∗∗

Paul Millsap-Atlanta Hawks (8,300): Millsap has been starting at center for the injured Dwight Howard and should get a heavy workload against the Nuggets. He has stepped up with 30-11-1 with a block and a steal for 44.7 fantasy points on Monday and 18-10-7 for 44.5 fantasy points on Wednesday. He has at least 40 fantasy points in five of his eight games since returning from his own injury and is a very solid alternative to Davis if you don’t want to go too huge at the position but want a player with elite upside in a up-tempo matchup.∗∗∗∗

Jabari Parker-Milwaukee Bucks (6,800): Parker is back in his regular spot in my FanDuel daily picks since his price has risen but still seems a little low. He  has at least 32 fantasy points in four of his last five games including a 45.3-fantasy-point gave on Tuesday against the Cavs when he had 30-9-3. He struggled in his last game against tonight’s opponent-the Wizards-finsihing with just 9.8 fantasy points on 8-4-0. Part of that, though, was the game came on a second night of a back-to-back which have been a struggle for Parker throughout much of the season. I expect him to fare much better than that tonight as he faces the Wizards again this time at home in Milwaukee.∗∗

Nikola Jokic-Dnever Nuggets (6,700): Jokic got nothing going at all against the Clippers on Tuesday putting up just 17.7 fantasy points on 9-6-1 with a block. He had a much better and bigger game against the Mavs at home on Monday going off for 55.5 fantasy points on 27-15-9. Tonight, he and the Nuggets how the Hawks who are typically pretty good against big men. Still, he has been playing so well that as long as he stays out of foul trouble, I think he’ll post a nice stat line tonight at home.∗∗∗∗

LaMarcus Aldridge-San Antonio Spurs (6,500): Aldridge is back in Portland to face the Blazers tonight after a dud last night against the Clippers. Aldridge and Pau Gasol both struggling and LA only had 10-4-1 for 17.3 fantasy points. He’s set up for a bounce-back against Portland who allows more fantasy points per game to opposing PF than nay other team in the NBA, but his inconsistent play this year make him risky even in a possible #RevengeGame against the Blazers. ∗∗

Serge Ibaka-Orlando Magic (6,500): Ibaka is actually a better play than Aldridge as he and the Magic host the Lakers who are especially thin up front without Julius Randle and Larry Nance Jr. Ibaka’s only risk factor is that it is his second night of a back-to-back  after he had 23-10-1 and a block for 35.5 fantasy points. He has at least 35 fantasy points in three of his last four games and six of his last eight, and he should be able to take it to the under-sized Lakers tonight who are giving up the third-most fantasy points per game to opposing PF on the season.∗∗∗∗
