Carrie Fisher’s brother reports that the Star Wars actress is in “stable condition” following a massive heart attack on a plan en route to Los Angeles from London.

In the first bit of optimistic news about Carrie Fisher’s condition, her brother Todd Fisher told the Associated Press that his sister is out of the ER and has been stabilized. The words “stable condition” are the best news Star Wars fans can hope for after hearing that she had suffered a “massive” heart attack earlier Friday.

Reports are still coming in, but what we do know is that Fisher suffered a heart attack on a plane from London to Los Angeles earlier today. The plane landed in Los Angeles and she was rushed to a hospital, so it can be assumed that her cardiac event took place toward the end of the trip or the plane would have landed sooner.

According to passengers on the flight, Fisher suffered a heart attack and a doctor and several nurses who were also passengers came to her aid. They immediately began CPR and continued until the plane landed and paramedics could take over.

Initial reports stated that Fisher was in critical condition upon arrival at the hospital, with some media outlets reporting that she was in need of assistive breathing apparatus, so the news that she is now listed in stable condition is very welcome.

Fisher was returning home to Los Angeles after appearing in London to promote her new book, The Princess Diarist, which came out in November. Fisher also reprised her role as Princess Leia in 2015’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
