High Salary PG

Giannis Antetokounmpo-Milwaukee Bucks (10,000): “The Alphabet” had another solid statsheet-stuffing  game on Monday with 22-12-7 (points-rebounds-assists) for 50 fantasy points. He has at least 47 fantasy points in each of his last eight games straight coming into tonight’s contest against the Pistons. He had 17-8-8 with three blocks against Detroit in their first meeting this year, but his recent form has been so good that he’s worth a look at 10K even in what should be a defensively-focused game tonight. ∗∗

John Wall-Washington Wizards (9,500): Wall has been extremely consistent and with other top PG dealing with injury concerns offers some nice stability at the position. Wall has at least 35 fantasy points in each of his last 15 games and has at least 49 fantasy points in two of his last three and six of his last nine. He had 18-3-16 with two blocks and two steals for 52.25 fantasy points in his last game on Monday against Milwaukee. Tonight, he’ll take on Jeff Teague and the Pacers who he had 19-4-10 against earlier this season. He makes a solid pick tonight since even his “down” games aren’t that bad. He should be able to notch another double-double tonight in what could turn into a high-scoring affair in DC.∗∗

Kyle Lowry-Toronto Raptors (8,200):Lowry and the Raptors will be looking to make a statement as they play Golden State tonight, and the Raptors PG comes in hot with at least 40 fantasy points in three straight games. He had 27-7-4 for 44.75 fantasy points against Portland on Monday after 36-4-5 for 52.5 fantasy points in Utah last Friday. Last year, Lowry averaged 34.5-4.5-4.0 in his two games against the Warriors but only had 24-5-5 against them earlier this season. The Warriors have been playing better defense against opposing PG than they were early in the season, but they did just get beat up by Kyrie Irving on Christmas Day. Lowry will look to use that as a blueprint to success and continue his recent scoring binge which has seen him score at least 20 points in five of his last six contests.∗∗∗∗

Eric Bledsoe-Phoneix Suns (7,000): Another PG turning in good numbers lately has been Eric Bledsoe of the Suns. Bledsoe has scored at least 24 points in three of his last four games and six of his last nine. He has over 37 fantasy points in each of those six games including 24-6-4 for 41.5 fantasy points in his last game which was  on Monday against the Rockets and the usually stingy Patrick Beverley. Tonight, he gets a better matchup against the Spurs. He shot poorly against San Antonio earlier this season finishing with just 14-4-5, but he should be able to exceed those numbers tonight in San Antonio although he is a higher-risk play than Giannis, Lowry, Wall, or the other top-priced PGs.

Dennis Schroder-Atlanta Hawks (6,900): After an impressive run, Schroder disappointed his owners on Monday with just 17.5 fantasy points against the Timberwolves. It is worth noting, though, that his decreased production was mostly due to the fact that he only played 23 minutes. Before that letdown, he had at least 32 fantasy points in eight of his previous nine games including a pair of games with 43+ fantasy points in his last four. Tonight, he’ll face the Knicks who have allowed the eighth-most fantasy points per game to opposing PG over their last ten games, so there should be an opening for Schroder to attack tonight making him a high-upside play at under 7K.∗∗∗∗

Jrue Holiday-New Orleans Pelicans (6,300): Holiday has at least 28 fantasy points in four straight and seven of his last nine games despite being held to just seven points on Monday. He compensated with 7-3-11 against the Mavericks, but it was still a letdown after two great games last week where he posted 23-4-10 for 46 fantasy points against the Thunder and 22-2-6 for 37.5 fantasy points against the Heat. After starting the season late, Holiday seems to be settling in to a nice role with New Orleans. He gets a good matchup tonight against the Clippers since Chris Paul is questionable and could either sit out entirely or be limited by a hamstring injury. Holiday has a ton of upside to love at just over 6K, but there is some risk since his numbers have been a bit volatile at times this year.
