4. Alabama’s secondary has to be physical with Washington’s receivers

The Washington Huskies have talented wide receivers that will probably go on to be stars at the next level. John Ross and Austin Pettis are two dynamic receivers that have been making plays all season for the Huskies.

The Crimson Tide have a talented secondary with players that like to get physical and take the opposition out of their comfort zone. It’s very important for Alabama, that their secondary sets a tone early with their play.

If there’s any miscommunication, either Ross or Pettis will stretch the secondary and bust open down the seam for a huge gain and possibly a touchdown. Minkah Fitzpatrick, Marlon Humphrey and the rest of the secondary has to be ready to press and get down the field in a hurry.

If they can get an interception or two early and frustrate the Huskies, then Alabama will be in a great position to win this game. They have to take away Washington’s greatest strength on offense and that is the passing game.
