O.J. Howard

TE, Alabama

Offensive line is definitely a big weakness for the Denver Broncos, and while they could try to find an offensive tackle or guard in the first round, they could also try to find an impact tight end to take some pressure off of the team’s talented receivers.

This year’s tight end class has more than a few legitimate prospects, but O.J. Howard is the cream of the crop. He hasn’t been a focal point of Alabama’s offense this season, but he’s still made some big plays from time to time.

Howard is an intimidating matchup in the passing game for any defender, coming in at 6-foot-6 and 242 pounds. He moves well in open space and is tough to bring down once he has the ball. Howard is also a more than capable blocker capable of opening up rushing lanes for his running backs.

This all-around skill set is why Howard is getting first-round consideration. The Broncos are still looking for their long-term replacement to Julius Thomas, and Howard could finally be that guy for Denver.

Now all the Broncos need to do is find an answer at quarterback, whether that be by developing their current QBs or trading for someone like Tony Romo.
