Teez Tabor

CB, Florida

Depth at cornerback has been the biggest issue for the Green Bay Packers all season long, and it’s probably not going to get any better considering Sam Shields’ career may very well be coming to a close due to his history with concussions.

The Packers won’t hesitate to add a couple more pieces to their secondary this offseason, and that could very well include taking a corner in the first round. There will be plenty to choose from, but Florida’s Jalen “Teez” Tabor is the highest-rated corner available on my big board with the No. 26 pick.

Like fellow teammate Wilson, Tabor is extremely aggressive and has a nose for the ball. He’s a solid open-field tackler and has the instincts to anticipate throws to jump in front of them. He’s still a little inconsistent against the run, but the Packers are far more concerned about getting beat with deep passes right now, and Tabor can deliver in that department.

Heading into the playoffs, cornerback is still a glaring weakness for this team. I wouldn’t be the least bit surprised to see Green Bay draft multiple defensive backs in this year’s draft, so look for them to draft one in the first or second round before double dipping in Day 2 or Day 3.
