Cordrea Tankersley

CB, Clemson

The Seattle Seahawks will still have one of the most intimidating secondaries in the NFL next year with Earl Thomas, Kam Chancellor and Richard Sherman. However, the Seahawks could still use another dominant cornerback to play opposite of Sherman if the Legion of Boom wants to continue to be the best secondary in football.

Clemson Tigers cornerback Cordrea Tankersley just looks like a future Legion of Boom member. He’s got great size at the position at 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds, plus he has the long arms that the Seahawks love to see from the secondary players.

Tankersley uses that length to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage and minimize the distance between himself and his assignment. He has the ball skills to break up passes or get interceptions, but he’s certainly not the most reliable tackler.

There isn’t a more ideal fit for Tankersley than in Seattle, and learning from guys like Sherman could help turn him into a legitimate starter in the NFL.
