Ryan Anderson

EDGE, Alabama

The Pittsburgh Steelers defense is aging fast, but on the bright side they have found some promising young talent with players like Ryan Shazier and Stephon Tuitt. Still, considering the age of James Harrison, finding some more talent at outside linebacker wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Ryan Anderson is the sixth prospect out of Alabama to land in the first round of this mock draft, but he’s still one of the more genuinely talented players in this draft class. At 6-foot-2 and 253 pounds, Anderson is a heat-seeking missile with a nose for the ball.

Anderson might not be the biggest or strongest guy, but he’s very technically sound with both his hands and footwork. The Alabama linebacker flies off of the snap and bends the edge well to get to the quarterback, making him a tough assignment for almost any offensive tackle.

There’s a lot to like about Anderson’s game, and the Steelers probably wouldn’t mind adding him to their roster for next season.
