DeMarcus Walker

DE, Florida State

The Dallas Cowboys continue to miss on defensive ends in the NFL draft, but they need to keep trying to find a long-term answer at the position. Fortunately for them, Florida State’s DeMarcus Walker could be a pretty solid option.

Some scouts project Walker best as an edge rusher, but he could be a more than capable defensive end in a 4-3 scheme. At 6-foot-3 and 273 pounds, Walker does a great job of staying low and exploding off of the snap to drive offensive linemen into the backfield.

Walker is a versatile lineman who can make plenty of plays, including batting passes down at the line of scrimmage. The Cowboys are going to keep working on rebuilding their defense, and Walker could be a great first step in the right direction.
