Jamal Adams

S, LSU

After expectations of a breakout year, the Jacksonville Jaguars are back to square one and will have to begin the rebuilding process once again. Blake Bortles might not be the answer at quarterback, but the Jaguars have other more glaring needs to worry about heading into the 2017 season.

Finding an impact safety will be important in this year’s draft, and while there are a couple of names that could be thrown around, no one looks like more of a safe bet at the position than LSU’s Jamal Adams.

Adams has drawn comparisons to former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu because of his unique blend of instincts, leadership and aggressiveness. The LSU safety can play up at the line of scrimmage or back in coverage thanks to his ideal 6-foot-1, 211-pound frame.

The star LSU prospect stood out in a big way during the Citrus Bowl, containing Heisman Trophy winner Lamar Jackson. Just look at the speed Adams showcased on this play to keep Jackson from breaking away.
