High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (12,100): Harden has been red-hot lately and should be ready to take on his old team tonight in Houston as the Thunder roll in. Harden had 59 fantasy points on Monday on 23-10-10 which has his third straight triple-double and his fourth game in a row with at least 59 fantasy points. He had a massive 53-16-17 game against the Knicks on New Year’s Eve for 103.5 fantasy points (not a typo), and he’ll look to catch fire again tonight as he takes on Victor Oladipo, Russell Westbrook, and the Thunder. He hasn’t been great in either of his two previous meetings with OKC with 13-7-13 and 21-9-12, but his momentum and the fact that he’s not on the second night of a back-to-back would seem to set him up for another 50+ fantasy points tonight. He did log 42 minutes in each of his last two games, so fatigue is a bit of a concern, but he’s also one of the hottest players in the NBA.∗∗

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (9,000): McCollum is another red-hot SG option who has been single-handedly carrying the Blazers while Lillard has been out. He has scored at least 20 points in seven straight games carrying the Blazers while Damian Lillard has been sidelined, and he’ll have a tall task tonight with Lillard doubtful at Golden State. McCollum has scored 20 points or more in five straight games after last night’s 35-9-5 line against the Warriors which netted him 57.25 fantasy points. He has over 55 fantasy points in each of his last two games, and he’s in a great matchup against the Lakers tonight at home. If Lillard returns, McCollum will see a dramatic reduction in usage, but if Lillard takes another game off look for C.J. to go off again. No Lillard-∗∗∗∗ With Lillard-∗∗

Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (7,700): Batum had an impressive 28 points last night against the Thunder but didn’t quite fill up the rest of the statsheet as much as he has in previous games. He totaled 39.25 fantasy points on 28-3-4 giving him at least 35 fantasy points in eight straight contests. Tonight, he’s in a tougher matchup against KCP and the Pistons, but he’s a pretty safe play since he usually is a reliable contributor across multiple categories.∗∗
