High Value SG

Victor Oladipo-Oklahoma City Thunder (6,000): Tonight will be Oladipo’s first back-to-back set since returning from his wrist injury sustained in early December. He has 18 points in each of his last two games for 33.25 and 31.25 fantasy points. He gets a very good matchup tonight against the Rockets who allow the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing SG, and Oladipo lit them up for 29-10-5 earlier this season. He had a quieter 12-7-1 points in their second meeting, but he should be ready to roll tonight and hasn’t looked rusty despite missing three weeks of action.∗∗

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,800): The Pistons have been getting great production out of their backcourt now that Reggie Jackson is back next to KCP. He has at least 29 fantasy points in four of his last six games and has started the New Year with 43 fantasy points and 29.75 fantasy points against the Heat and Pacers. Tonight, he’s in a great matchup against the Hornets who have give up more fantasy points to opposing SG in their last ten games than any other team in the NBA.∗∗∗∗

Nick Young-Los Angeles Lakers (4,600): The Swaggy P comeback saga continues in LA this season as Nick Young not only earned a starting job but has been turning in really good numbers especially lately. He has at least 22 fantasy points in each of his last three games and in nine of his last 11. He started the year with 26-2-0 for 35 fantasy points in a tough matchup against Toronto and followed that with 20 more points on Tuesday against Memphis. If you have to spend under 5K at SG, he’s the top option on the board even though his game is very dependent on his shot-making.

Danny Green-San Antonio Spurs (3,900): Green had his run of three straight games with 20 fantasy points snapped on Tuesday when he had just 6-3-1 for 13.25 fantasy points against the Raptors. Before that, though he had looked good against the Suns, Blazers, and Hawks. Tonight, he’s in an even better matchup against the Nuggets who allow the most fantasy points per game to opposing SG on the season. He’s still risky, but at this price he has the best value of any player under 4K. ∗∗

Buddy Hield-New Orleans Pelicans (3,800): Hield has become a nice boom-or-bust play who has a very high ceiling. He has scored double-digit points in eight of his last ten games and had 20 points twice during that run. He had 20-5-2 for 30.25 fantasy points on Monday against Cleveland and should be a solid flier play tonight against Atlanta. ∗∗
