Clemson fans at a viewing party lost their minds as Hunter Renfrow caught the winning touchdown to beat Alabama in the National Championship Game.

The end of the National Championship Game between the Alabama Crimson Tide and Clemson Tigers was one that we will soon never forget. Deshaun Watson led a dramatic drive down the field and was able to put his team in a position to get revenge on the team that beat them a year prior. Then with one second left on the clock, Hunter Renfrow would catch the winning touchdown to secure the National Championship for his team.

At a watch party in Clemson, fans that weren’t at the game watched the final drive in unison cheering as their team moved the ball down the field. Once Renfrow came down with the ball and the win, the fans lost their collective minds.

With how hard Clemson had to fight for the win and after the difficult loss last season, it’s only fitting the win was met with extreme celebration. It was a brilliantly drawn up play that ended up working out for them at the end.

Watson had his chance to earn his defining moment in college football and win the game for his team. He made two drives late in the game to set up his team with the win and his pass was right on the money to end it.

With a win like this, it’s likely the fans are going to be celebrating this one for a long time. Defeating Alabama isn’t an easy task and the Tigers gave everything they had to pull off a classic with time running out.
