High Value PF

James Johnson-Miami Heat (6,000): If Miami has any hope of keeping up with the Warriors tonight they’ll need a big game from their versatile forward James Johnson. Johnson can play spots 2-5 on the floor for Miami, and he has been a huge part to their staying afloat amid a sea of injuries this season.

Johnson had at least 34 fantasy points in four straight before finishing with just 27.5 fantasy points on 12-6-3 against the Clippers on Sunday. He should be back to around or over 30 fantasy points tonight against the Warriors since he plays lots of minutes in Coach Spo’s smaller lineups.∗∗

Al-Farouq Aminu-Portland Trail Blazers (5,100): Aminu had a rough start to the season and has been battling injury through much of the year. He has started to turn things around lately though with at least 17 fantasy points in seven straight and over 31 fantasy points in each of his last three. He had 7-11-4 for 33.25 fantasy points against the Lakers last Thursday, and he’ll look to produce a similar line for his fantasy owners tonight. If he can get to 27 fantasy points for the fourth game in a row, he’ll be a great value at this price point.∗∗∗

Nikola Mirotic-Chicago Bulls (4,900): Mirotic is another one of the Bulls who will need to step up with no Wade or Butler tonight, but he’s coming off a total dud of 3-1-0 last night when he had just 4.75 fantasy points. Before last night’s no-show, Mirotic had 20+ fantasy points in four of his last five games and should be good for 25-30 fantasy points tonight since he’ll get more chances to shoot and rebound in the Bulls patchwork rotation tonight.∗∗

Patrick Patterson-Toronto Raptors (3,600): After missing a couple of weeks with a left knee strain, Patterson returned with 20.25 fantasy points against the Rockets on 8-7-2 in 22 minutes. He was limited by foul trouble, but he looked healthy enough to return to near-normal minutes tonight against Boston. The Celtics are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing PF making Patterson a great cheap plug-in option tonight.∗∗∗∗
