Jimmy Walker (9,900): Walker is surprisingly affordable this week at under 10K. He has won this event twice in his career including a nine-stroke runaway two years ago. He didn’t defend his title last season, but he still finished with a t13 and will look to extend his run of good finishes at The Sony this week. Last week he ended up t9 at the SBS Tournament of Champions, and he comes in with good form to a course he knows well.

Brandt Snedeker (9,700): Snedeker lost last season in a playoff to Fabian Gomez, and he’ll try to finish the job this year after opening 2017 with a t14 last week. He did pick up a win last October at the Fiji International on the European Tour, but his form hasn’t been quite as elite as the other options in this price range.

Paul Casey (9,500): Casey finished last season with three straight top-5 finishes in the last three FedEx Cup events and started the 2016-17 season with a t3 at the Safeway Open. He hasn’t teed it up in any competitive rounds since the WGC-HSBC where he finished t12. While his form is unknown, he did find success in his only previous trip to Waialae in 2015 when he opened with a 62 before fading to a t30.

Gary Woodland (9,100): Woodland finished runner-up at the OHL Classic at Mayakoba in November after a closing round 70 which allowed Pat Perez to catch him for the win. Woodland didn’t play last week, but he has posted back-to-back top-15 finishes after a t13 last year and a t3 in 2015.
