Florida State Seminoles

Last week: 4-0
Last rank: N/A

With newly-crowned No. 1 Baylor losing big to West Virginia last night, Florida State is now the biggest surprise story of the season. Picking up a big win at home against Duke lifted them to 4-0 and alone atop the ACC standings. When paired with a road win at Virginia and a beatdown of then-ranked Virginia Tech, the Seminoles have one of the best resumes in the nation right now. When they took down Wake Forest in the first game of their ACC schedule, nobody was quite sure just how good they were. After three more big wins, they’ve answered that question definitively. Pairing their monstrous size (two seven-footers!) with legit offensive threats like Dwayne Bacon and Jonathan Isaac, the Noles are a complete team that is going to be very tough to topple going forward.

With another ranked team on deck in UNC, Florida State has yet another chance to add to their already impressive list of results. A win in that game would make them the team to beat in the ACC, something the people of Tallahassee are not terribly familiar with.
