High Value SG

Tyreke Evans-New Orleans Pelicans (5,800): Evans has been lighting teams up lately  and is worth considering tonight in a good matchup against the Nets. When the Pelicans and Nets played last Thursday, Evans stepped up in the absence of Anthony Davis and went off for 29-4-3 with four steals and a block for 46.3 fantasy points. Since then, he hasn’t been able to get to quite those numbers but has posted three games over 25 fantasy points despite’s playing less than 24 minutes. For example, in his game on Wednesday, he only needed 20 minutes to post 35.3 fantasy points on 18-4-5 with three steals. Evans is definitely still not to his full minutes load, but he is  making enough of an impact to be a solid consideration at this price point in such a good matchup.

Wesley Matthews-Dallas Mavericks (5,400): Matthews had 18-5-1 for 27.5 fantasy points in 37 minutes against the Heat, and tonight he’ll come home tonight to face the Jazz who will be without Rodney Hood. Matthews has at least 18 points and 27 fantasy points in three of his last four and he’s heating up again to be a boom-or-bust play from just over 5K.

Garrett Temple-Sacramento Kings (4,100): With Rudy Gay out for the season, Temple will get a bump in minutes and could even move into the starting lineup for the Kings in the coming weeks. He has shown he can produce when given extra usage, but he also can disappear for stretches. He has been held under 20 fantasy points in four straight and is in a tough matchup against Memphis tonight. He played 30 minutes the last time the Kings faced the Grizzlies but only had 3-3-1 for 11.1 fantasy points. I like Temple’s opportunity and upside long-tier, and he’s definitely someone to keep an eye on even though he is high risk tonight.

Seth Curry-Dallas Mavericks (4,000): Curry continues to get plenty of run with the Mavericks and had 15-4-0 in 32 minutes last night giving him four games in his last five with 30+ minutes played.  He posted over 25 fantasy points in two of his last four and will look to put up another night like that tonight against the Jazz who he reached that level against in their last meeting (on 12/16) when he had 13-5-4 in 28 minutes.∗∗
