FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 20
High Value PF
Zach Randolph-Memphis Grizzlies (5,900): Randolph had over 33 fantasy points in four of five games coming into Wednesday’s game in Washington, but he only ended up playing 20 minutes and posting 6-9-0 for a disappointing 16.8 fantasy points in that matchup. He will try to bounce back tonight in a better matchup against the Kings who arena the top ten teams in the NBA in fantasy points allowed to opposing PF. Randolph had 14-6-3 for 23.7 against them on New Year’s Eve, and he’ll look to bounce back after Wednesday’s downer tonight.∗∗
Ersan Ilyasova-Phialdelphia 76ers (5,800): The best PF matchup of the night goes to Ersan Ilyasova as the Sixers has the Blazers. Ilyasova has been a nice stabilizing force for the Sixers and hast at least 25 fantasy points in nine of his last 11 games. He had 18-5-2 for 27 fantasy points against the Raptors on Wednesday, and he seems to be set up for success again tonight.∗∗∗∗
Trevor Booker-Brooklyn Nets (5,400): Booker had 8-12-4 in 30 minutes against the Pelicans last Thursday for 32.4 fantasy points, and he has at least 30 fantasy points in four of his last eight games coming into his rematch with New Orleans tonight. Booker is always a threat for a low-grade double-double and 30 fantasy points, but he will probably have to deal with Anthony Davis tonight which puts him at a size disadvantage down low.∗∗∗
Montrezl Harrell-Houston Rockets (5,200): With Clint Capela back, Harrell’s playing time is hard to predict, but he has continued to find ways to contribute. With Ryan Anderson out and Capela coming off the bench, Harrell started on Wednesday and posted a massive 35.6 fantasy points on 12-8-4 and five blocks. He has the energy and slightly smaller size that should work against the small-ball Warriors. Harrell comes into his matchup with Draymond Green having scored in double-digits in six of his last seven and with 30+ fantasy points in four of his those seven contests. He would seem to have earned a role in the rotation with his strong play over the last month, but the situation is still in flux so there’s more risk than normal.∗∗
JaMychal Green-Memphis Grizzlies (4,600): Green had a double-double on Wednesday against the Wizards while playing 34 minutes. He totaled 34.1 fantasy points on 15-13-1 with a steal. It was his best performance since New Year’s Eve when he had 18-7-4 for 34.4 fantasy points against the Kings. He’ll take on Sacramento again tonight in Memphis and has the potential to produce a big number, but his playing time and opportunity also depends on what Z-Bo does when he gets his firs few minutes of action. If Randolph gets extra run, he limited Green’s time, but Green can definitely produce if he gets the minutes tonight.∗∗∗
Anthony Tolliver-Sacramento Kings (3,900): Tolliver got bumped to the bench on Wednesday and only played 22 minutes after logging 32+ in each of the previous four contests. In those four games where he got extra playing time, he had three games with over 21 fantasy points. He should get increased run again tonight since Rudy Gay is out now for the Kings leaving minutes and usage for the Kings’ other forwards. Tonight, he’ll tangle with Green, Randolph, and the Grizzlies who he had 16-6-2 against last time the teams met for 25.2 fantasy points.∗∗∗∗
Kris Humphries-Atlanta Hawks (3,700): Humphries has suddenly become fantasy relevant again with Mike Muscala injured and out for Atlanta. Humphries has played 20+ minutes in back-to-back games for Atlanta and posted 24.9 fantasy points and 15.9 fantasy points in those two contests. He had 29.6 fantasy points last week against Brooklyn too, so there is definitely upside to rolling with Humphries tonight against Chicago since Muscala has already been ruled out..∗∗
