DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 21
High Salary SF
LeBron James-Cleveland Cavaliers (10,600): Coming into the opener of the Cavs homsetand, LeBron had posted a few down games and had been held under 45 fantasy points in four of is previous five contests. He did go off against the Suns on Thursday posting 21-9-15 for 60.25 fantasy points. Tonight, he’ll have a tough matchup gains the defense of Kawhi Leonard, but James reminded us that he’s still “The King” with his huge night against Phoenix.∗∗
Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (9,200): Leonard comes into tonight’s marquee matchup in better form than James since he has scored at least 30 points in five straight games and has at least 49 fantasy points in four of those five games. He costs significantly less than James and is in a better defensive matchup. He should get slightly more usage with Pau Gasol out, so Kahwi is a really nice play at this price in tonight’s big game.∗∗∗
Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (7,900): Despite the swirl of stormy weather around the Knicks and an ugly air ball that set Twitter on fire, Carmelo Anthony makes sense for fantasy basketball tonight as he faces the same Suns that James just lit up on Thursday. ‘Melo is coming off a huge 34-10-2 night when he totaled 54 fantasy points against the Wizards Thursday. He has scored at least 23 points and added non-scoring numbers for at least 40 fantasy points in four of his last six games.∗∗∗∗
Gordon Hawyard-Utah Jazz (7,200): The Jazz rely on Hayward for even more of their offense when Rodney Hood is out like he is tonight. He had a solid 26-7-4 for 44.75 fantasy points last night in an OT win against the Mavericks. That total gives him over 42 fantasy points in three of his last five games ad makes him a very intriguing option as the Jazz host Paul George and the Pacers tonight in Salt Lake City.∗∗∗
