4. Bills 51, Raiders 3 — 1990 AFC Championship Game

Everyone remembers the Buffalo Bills almost-dyansty from the 90s for the Scott Norwood kick in Super Bowl XXV. But that’s a massive disservice to just how great those Bills teams were, and overlooks one of the greatest games in franchise history. In order to get to Super Bowl XXV, the Bills needed to get through the Oakland Raiders — something the did and then-some.

Buffalo destroyed the Raiders in a 51-3 blowout that saw Buffalo up 41-3 at the half. That was the birth of the Bills dynasty of the 90s, as it was a culmination of all the work that Marv Levy and company had been putting in over the years of suffering and growth. Those pains were purged that day, and the start of something truly special began.

Hate the Bills all you want for blowing four straight Super Bowls, but also acknowledge the fact that getting to four straight Super Bowls is unprecedented. It’s not as though the Bills simply teleported into the Super Bowls they lost — they earned the right to be there by rolling past the rest of the AFC.

That was never more apparent then this 1990 AFC Championship Game blowout over the Raiders.
