DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 23
High Salary C
DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (10,500): Cousins had a monster game on Saturday in Chicago totaling 71.5 fantasy points on 42-14-3 with a pair of blocks and a steal. He now has over has over 62 fantasy points in three of his last four games, and tonight he’ll go head-to-head with Andre Drummond in Detroit. When he faced Drummond in Sacramento earlier this month, he had 24-13-6 and 55.2 fantasy points. Cousins is definitely a piece you can build around tonight, but he’ll have to go off like he did Saturday to be worth his five-figure salary.∗∗∗
DeAndre Jordan-Los Angeles Clippers (7,900): In another good battle of the bigs tonight, the Clippers and DeAndre Jordan take on Dwight Howard and the Hawks. In Denver last Saturday, Jordan only had 14-13-3 in 27 minutes for 37.25 fantasy points. His minutes were limited due to foul trouble and since the Nuggets ran away with the game or else he was well on his way to another huge total. He had over 54 fantasy points in each of his three games before that and at least 47 fantasy points in five of his previous seven. He’ll need to continue to step up tonight against Atlanta, and I love him at this price if you can squeeze him in under your salary cap.∗∗∗∗
Brook Lopez-Brooklyn Nets (6,500): Another center who is slightly under priced give his recent numbers is Brook Lopez. BroLo has scored at least 20 points in each of his last seven games. While his non-scoring numbers aren’t elite, he has been able to get to over 40 fantasy points in each of his last three games by turning in 5+ rebounds and multiple blocks as well. Tonight, the Nets come home and host the Spurs in a tough matchup, but remember that San Antonio is a little under-sized now without Pau Gasol making Lopez worth a look at this surprisingly affordable price.∗∗∗∗
Enes Kanter-Oklahoma City Thunder (6,300): In a potential “Revenge Game” Kanter returns to Utah tonight for the second time this season. He had 19-2-1 in just 18 minutes in his first trip back to Salt Lake City, but he could be lined up for more playing time and production tonight if Steven Adams is still sidelined with a concussion. Lately, Kanter has been hot averaging 20.6 points, 9.2 rebounds, and 1.8 assists over his last five games. He has at least 33 fantasy points in five of his last six games while playing over30 minutes or in four of his last five. After four days off since their last game, he and the Thunder should be well-rested and ready for the Jazz tonight.∗∗∗
