High Salary SF

Kawhi Leonard-San Antonio Spurs (9,400): Based on recent form and their salary tonight, the SF to own tonight is Kawhi Leonard not LeBron James or Kevin Durant. Leonard has over 42 fantasy points in eight of his last nine games and over 52 fantasy points in each of his last three contests. He went off for a career-high 41 points against the Cavs in 46 minutes while carrying his team to an overtime win. He had 58.5 fantasy points in that contest with 41-6-5, a block, and a steal. Tonight, he gets a great matchup too as the Spurs hit Brooklyn to face the Nets who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing SF than any other team in the NBA. Brooklyn’s up-tempo pace will get Kawhi plenty of work and as long as the game isn’t too one-side early look for another big number from him tonight.

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (8,000): Another big-production SF lately has been Carmelo Anthony with over 50 fantasy points in each of his last two games and over 40 fantasy points in five of his last seven. He had 34-10-2 for 54 fantasy points last Thursday against Washington and followed that with 31-7-6 for 51.75 fantasy points against Phoenix on Saturday. Tonight, he’ll go head-to-head with Paul George in a tougher matchup than either of those games, but he still deserves a look based on his recent numbers.

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (7,000): The Jazz continue to lean on Hayward especially with Rodney Hood missing from their other wing. Hayward has stepped up with at least 20 points in six of his last seven games and typically adds solid non-scoring numbers as well. Saturday was a strange exception to the rule as he shot well and produced 27 points but almost no non-scoring stats for only 30 fantasy points. He has over 35 fantasy points in five of his last seven, though, and should bounce back nicely tonight against the Thunder.∗∗∗

Otto Porter-Washington Wizards (6,200): As the Wizards visit Charlotte, Porter has a nice high ceiling as he looks to post 28+ fantasy points for the fourth game in a row. He had a good game against Melo on Thursday  with 23-6-2 for 40.5 fantasy points and he has at least 34 fantasy points in six of his last ten. I still see him as a bit of a boom-or-bust play depending on the night, but his upside deserves a look at just over 6K.
