2. Golden State Warriors

At 39-7, it’s hard to say the Golden State Warriors “need” anything. They have the league’s best record, best point differential, No. 1 ranked offense and No. 1 ranked defense, not to mention the fact that they’re averaging the most blocks and steals per game. Don’t fix it if it isn’t broken, right?

However, if the Dubs still aren’t content with their frontcourt depth and aren’t ready to roll with guys like JaVale McGee or James Michael McAdoo come playoff time, there’s a chance the rich could try to get richer by snagging Larry Sanders out of thin air.

On a juggernaut like the Warriors, there wouldn’t be pressure on Sanders to produce right away. He could ease back into the action in a positive, championship environment where his superstar teammates would help bring out the best in his game.

If he produced in limited minutes, he could wind up being one of those random X-factors that comes out of nowhere to help swing a playoff series. If not, the Dubs could either cut him if he proves to be a distraction, or simply keep him on the bench for depth purposes.

Sanders would immediately get a chance to contribute on a championship contender, while the Warriors would add frontcourt depth and extra rim protection just in case. It could be a win-win for both sides, though the Warriors would have to clear out a roster spot since they already have 15 bodies.
