FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 27
High Value PF
Zach Randolph-Memphis Grizzlies (5,900): It’s a revenge game for Z-Bo tonight as he and the Grizz role into Portland. Randolph played a season-high 38 minutes on Wednesday against the Raptors finishing with 16-8-3 and 29.1 fantasy points. He has at least 29 fantasy points in four of his last six games, and he’ll be motivated to take it to his former team who has allowed the second-most fantasy points per game to opposing PF this season. Randolph probably won’t have to log as many minutes tonight since JaMychal Green is expected to return, but he is still a solid sub-6K play.∗∗∗∗
James Johnson-Miami Heat (5,600): Johnson’s production has been down lately, but look for him to log lots of minutes and get a usage boost tonight against the Bulls. Hassan Whiteside is out and Johnson has averaged 33.2 fantasy points in the last three games that Whiteside sat. Johnson’s poor recent form (under 21 fantasy points in four straight) makes him risky, but his upside is huge against Chicago with Whiteside ruled out.∗∗
Ryan Anderson-Houston Rockets (4,700): Anderson has scored 16 and 19 points in his two games back after a week-long bout with illness. He had 19-5-1 for 26.5 fantasy points against the Celtics on Wednesday, and he’ll be a good value against at the Sixers tonight if he continues to shoot the ball so well.∗∗∗
Nerlens Noel-Philadelphia 76ers (4,600): Noel has been excellent in his last two games filling in for the injured Joel Embiid and Jahlil Okafor. He played 29 and 28 minutes against the Clippers and Bucks in his two starts and finished with 45.1 fantasy points and 34.6 fantasy points. Noel’s time and usage will likely drop tonight with Okafor back and Embiid’s status still up in the air. He has shown he is a great play when given the chance though, so monitor the situation leading up to tip time. No Embiid-∗∗∗∗ With Embiid-∗∗
Willie Cauley-Stein-Sacramento Kings (3,700): Cauley-Stein is carving out a little bit of a niche for himself in the Kings rotation and has posted back-to-back strong games on Sacramento’s current road trip. He logged 21 minutes against Detroit on Monday with 12-5-0 for 22 fantasy points and followed that with 8-10-0 and 24 fantasy points in 26 minutes against Cleveland. WCS offers more upside than Anthony Tolliver or Kosta Koufos, so look for coach Dave Joerger to try and find ways to see what he has in Cauley-Stein moving forward.∗∗
