4. Oliver Martin, 4-star WR (Iowa City, Iowa)

Oliver Martin, the pride of Iowa City, has the attention of a number of top-tier programs as National Signing Day approaches and Ohio State is one of them. His recruitment has been as quiet as they come and the Buckeyes will likely be battling it out until the very end with a few other Big Ten schools as well as Notre Dame.

It seems like Martin is a behind-the-scenes type of recruit who doesn’t like much attention, but that’s exactly what he’s getting the longer he waits to decide.

There are about five programs still vying for his commitment right now. The Buckeyes are one as well as Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa and Notre Dame. Many think the Fighting Irish are the leader, but Michigan’s late push, Michigan State’s 2017 quarterback commitment (and good friend) Rocky Lombardi and Iowa’s hometown draw are all pulling him in opposite directions.

Meyer has gotten into the running a little too late, it seems, but he has been one of the nation’s top recruiters for a reason. He can come in and close with the best and he might have to pull off a magic trick to land Martin.

The four-star from Iowa City is ranked the No. 47 overall prospect and No. 7 wide receiver in the 2017 class.
