DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 29
High Value C
Jonas Valanciunas-Toronto Raptors (5,600): Valanciunas has double-digit rebonds in four straight and nine of his last ten games. He started that ten-game run with an impressive 18-23-0 against the Celtics, but hasn’t been able to get the ten points to get a double-double in any of his last three games. He and the Raptors host Orlando tonight who rank eighth in most fantasy points allowed to opposing centers. Valanciunas had 16-13-0 against them when the teams last met in mid-December and he’s a solid sub-6K play tonight.∗∗∗
Clint Capela-Houston Rockets (4,800): Capela is working his way back from a leg injury and has posted rising fantasy points in each of his last four games culminating with 28.5 fantasy points on 17-6-0 and a block on Friday. He gets a good matchup against Indiana tonight and should be a good play once he’s back to 100%.∗∗∗∗
Jahlil Okafor-Philadelphia 76ers (4,700): With no Joel Embiid tonight, the Sixers will likely give the start to Jahlil Okafor who is expected to be available after a knee injury sidelined him earlier this week. Okafor had 25 fantasy points in his last start against Atlanta and was even better against Washington earlier this month when he had 16-9-0 for 39.75 fantasy points. Tonight, he’ll take on the Bulls and is a boom-or-bust play with a high ceiling.∗∗
Lucas Nogueira-Toronto Raptors (3,900): Nogueira has continued to fine ways to chip in for Toronto foff the bench and had 25.75 fantasy points on Friday with 9-5-0 and five blocks. He has multiple blocks in three of his last four games and is now playing a role similar to the one that Bismack Biyombo filled last year for the Raptors. He is coming off the bench now instead of starting which makes him risky, but he continues to play well and earn more time.∗∗
