High Value SG

Norman Powell-Toronto Raptors (5,600): The Raptors have been getting excellent play from Norman Powell while DeMar DeRozan has been out. In his last three games, Powell had 16-4-2 for 30 fantasy points against the Spurs, 21-5-2 for 32.75 fantasy points against the Grizzlies, and 19-6-1 for 28 fantasy points against the Bucks. If DeRozan is out again for tonight’s game against the Magic, Powell will again be in a great place to produce. While his long-term role isn’t likely to make him worth this salary, he’ll be a good option in a great matchup against the Magic tonight if DeRozan is still out. No DeRozan-∗∗With DeRozan-

Tyreke Evans-New Orleans Pelicans (5,400): Evans continues to be a boom-or-bust play for the Pelicans as they welcome Washington tonight. Recently, Evans has posted  three games over 35 fantasy points in his last eight and six games over 21 fantasy points during that same timespan. However, he has been more bust than boom lately being held under 15 minutes in two of his last four games and producing fewer than 20 fantasy points in each of those outings. He can do a number of different things when he comes off the bench, and he looks like he’s shaken off a minor ankle injury from early in the week.∗∗

Seth Curry-Dallas Mavericks (5,200): With all the injuries in Dallas, Seth Curry continues to get his chance to step up. So far, he has had mixed result throughout the season as evidenced by his last two games. Curry only managed 11-1-4 for 19.75 fantasy points on Thursday in OKC, but the night before he has a strong showing with 34.25 fantasy points against the Knicks on 20-5-0 and three steals. He definitely has a lot of upside against the Spurs but he remains a high-risk play.∗∗

Allen Crabbe-Portland Trail Blazers (3,900): Crabbe is a boom-or-bust play who can be a great value when he’s hitting his shot. He dropped 23 points against Memphis on Friday knocking down 6-8 from distance and totaling 28.5 fantasy points. He has at least 15 fantasy points in seven of his last ten, though, so he does offer a little big of consistency with his high upside.
