High Salary PG

Isaiah Thomas-Boston Celtics (9,400): IT4 has been playing All-Star level ball lately and has at least 49 in six of his last seven games. Tonight, he and the C’s host the Pistons in the early TNT game. He comes in with great form after 56.25 fantasy points on 37-3-8 (points-rebounds-assists) while playing 41 minutes on the second night of a back-to-back in Milwaukee. He gets a good matchup against Detroit tonight who have given up the fourth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing PG over their last five games.  This will b the third time Thomas faces the Pistons this season  after 24-4-8 and 27-0-4 against them at the end of November. He’s pricey but should be worth it since he’s carrying so much of Boston’s offense while Avery Bradley and Al Horford are out.∗∗∗

Kyrie Irving-Cleveland Cavaliers (8,200): Irving has been almost as hot as IT4 lately and has at least 46 fantasy points in four of his last five games. He had 29-3-10 last night against the Thunder for 51.25 fantasy points and last Monday he had an even more impressive 67.5 fantasy points on 49-2-4 agains the Pelicans. With the Cavs in Dallas tonight, both Kyrie and LeBron are playing on the second night of a back-to-back, but the team will be without Kevin Love. Irving’s only risk factor to be aware of is that Dallas allows the fewest fantasy points to opposing PG in the NBA. However, Irving’s recent form and usage are enough to make him a solid option even though Dallas’s defense is pretty good.∗∗

Goran Dragic-Miami Heat (7,600): On the exact opposite end of the matchup spectrum, Dragic takes on the Nets tonight who have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing PG. Last Wednesday, Dragic played 39 minutes against them in Brooklyn and had 17-9-9 for 44.75 fantasy points. He followed that with an even better game  in Chicago on Friday whit 26-5-11 for 54.25 fantasy points. On Sunday, he came back to earth a little with  23-2-4 for 33.5 fantasy points against Detroit, but I think there’s a good chance he’ll be back to 40+ tonight. Dragic could lose a little bit of time to Tyler Johnson who is expected to return from injury, but I think Johnson will do most of his work on the wings where the Heat are still dealing with lots of injuries.∗∗

Reggie Jackson-Detroit Pistons (6,300): There are four starting PG between 6,000 and 7,500, and of the four I like the cheapest option the most tonight. Jackson takes on Isaiah Thomas and the Celtics tonight looking to post at least 35 fantasy points for the fifth straight game. In his last contest he had 24-7-3 against the Heat for 36.25 fantasy points on Saturday.∗∗∗
