High Value SG

Wesley Matthews-Dallas Mavericks (5,400): Matthews returned from a two-game break and posted 32.9 fantasy points on 17-7-3 against the spurs last night while playing a full workload of 31 minutes. In his last six full games, he has over 27 fantasy points five times and is carrying more of the Dallas offense with Deron Williams and J.J. Barea out. Matthews is in a good matchup against Cleveland tonight, and I think he makes a solid sub-6K play.∗∗

Seth Curry-Dallas Mavericks (4,300): Curry helped my FanDuel daily picks lineup from yesterday still finish in the cash even though I didn’t get a chance to update it and remove Norman Powell (who was a dud off the bench as expected). Curry picked up the slack, though, by pouring in 43.5 fantasy points on 24-10-5 against the Spurs in San Antonio. Tonight, he’ll come home and face the Cavs and remain a boom-or-bust play. He had just 1.2 fantasy points against the Thunder last Thursday on 11-1-4, so he isn’t guaranteed to repeat last night’s performance although he definitely brings lots of upside for an option so cheap.∗∗∗∗

Iman Shumpert-Cleveland Cavaliers (4,100): On the other side of the Cavs-Mavs game, Sumpert is a solid option to consider as well since he has 20+ fantasy points in six of his last eight games since joining the Cavs’ starting lineup. He posted a solid 16-3-1 for 22.1 fantasy points against the Thunder yesterday. He doesn’t have the high ceiling that Curry brings, but he has been a little more consistent.∗∗

Jaylen Brown-Boston Celtics (3,900): Boston has been giving Brown extended playing time, and the rookie stepped up with big games on Friday and Saturday in Boston’s back-to-back. He had 20-8-2 for 31.6 fantasy points against the Magic and followed that with 9-8-1 for 25.1 fantasy points against the Bucks. He is more of a risk than either Curry or Shumpert since his time is less secure, but he definitely has upside from under 4K.∗∗
