High Salary C

DeMarcus Cousins-Sacramento Kings (11,400): Boogie has been rolling lately with at least a double-double in each of his last 13 games. He has over 60 fantasy points in three of his last four games and went off for a huge 46-15-5 game yesterday in Philadelphia despite playing just 32 minutes. He is on the second night of a back-to-back, but he hasn’t been slowed by that lately with 62.6 fantasy points and 67.3 fantasy points in his last two games on the second night of back-to-back games. If you’re spending big on just one player tonight, Cousins would be my top “big-ticket” play as long as he’s confirmed to not be resting since it is his second city in two nights.

Mason Plumlee-Portland Trail Blazers (7,400): Plumlee has been on the rise for the Blazers and his price is climbing too. He has at least 30 fantasy points in five straight games including an impressive 19-13-3 for 44.1 fantasy points against the Lakers. He has six straight double-doubles coming into tonight’s game against Charlotte, and he would be a must-own if he was still around 6K where he has been priced most of the year. However, at this price, he’s a little risky since he has only reached 35 fantasy points once in his last four games.

Marcin Gortat-Washington Wizards (6,500): Because he’s almost 1,000 cheaper, I actually think Gortat is a better play than Plumlee although his ceiling is a little lower. He is in a good matchup against New York who has allowed the seventh-most fantasy points per game in the NBA to opposing centers. Gortat has 33+ fantasy points in each of his last two games and had 31.6 fantasy points against the Knicks in their last meeting. While I would take Plumlee if I could afford either because I think his ceiling is higher, I think Gortat is a better points-per-dollar-play.
