FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-January 31
High Value C
Steven Adams-Oklahoma City Thunder (6,000): Adams will possibly get even more run than he has in the past with Enes Kanter out, but he was already so involved that Kanter’s injury really only lowers his risk a little. Adams has been underwhelming in his last two games with just 22.4 fantasy points against Dallas and 18.5 fantasy points against Cleveland. He did look good last Wednesday against the Pelicans with 43.7 fantasy points, and he will try to bring that kind of stat line to tonight’s game against the Spurs. San Antonio has been a bad matchups for centers all season, but Kanter’s usage should be enough to make him worth a look if you have 6K to spend.∗∗∗
Jonas Valanciunas-Toronto Raptors (5,800): Valanciunas is in a great matchup against the Pelicans who have been beatable inside all season. He fell just one rebound short of a double-double in his last game and has at least 26 fantasy points in four of his last five games dating back to a big 16-12-2 game against the Suns when he had 40.4 fantasy points. He has that kind of upside against the Pelican tonight, but he does sometimes run hot and cold.∗∗∗∗
Joakim Noah-New York Knicks (4,500): Noah was a great play on Sunday when he ended up logging 41 minutes in the four overtimes against Atlanta. Noah ended up with 39.3 fantasy points in that game after being held under 20 fantasy points in three straight. He’s not going to get that much run tonight against the Wizards, but he still is the safest play under 5K.∗∗
Ivica Zubac-Los Angeles Lakers (3,900): If you want upside in your cheap center, the Lakers’ 19-year old big man has to be in your lineup tonight. Zubac has posted back-to-back double-dobules with 12-10-2 and three blocks for 29 fantasy points against Portland and 16-10-1 for 29.5 fantasy points against Utah. After those two games on the road, he’ll come home against Denver tonight. When the teams played two weeks ago, Zubac had 11-13-1 with three blocks for a huge 35.1 fantasy points. With Julius Randle out tonight, Zubac should get plenty of time and makes a great play. In my opinion, your center should either be DeMarcus Cousins or Zubac tonight depending on how you’ve spent your salary at other spots.∗∗∗∗
