High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (12,500): If you’re going with a big-money guard, my favorite pick of the group is definitely Harden despite a slow game on Sunday. Against the Pacers, Harden surprised his owners by totaling just 15-5-8 for 31 fantasy points in 32 minutes. It was well under half the total he had on Friday when his 51-13-13 powered his owners to wins with 87.1 fantasy points. He has at least 50 fantasy points in six of his last eight games, and he has two solid games against the Kings earlier this season with 23-9-10 and 15-11-14. While neither of those stat lines are enough to make him worth this price tonight, he should bounce back after an ugly 3-17 shooting peformance in Indiana in his first home game in over a week.∗∗

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,900): McCollum and the Blazers get the Hornets tonight who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing SG over their last five games and the eighth-most on the season. McCollum  had only 18-2-1 with four steals for 27.9 fantasy points against them in their last meeting but he has put up over 36 fantasy points in three of his last four games including an impressive 35-2-3 against the Celtics for 47.9 fantasy points. He had 28-7-3 for 38.9 fantasy points against the Warriors in his last game on Sunday and will look to build off that at home where the Blazres have played better most of this season.

Nicolas Batum-Charlotte Hornets (7,300): It’s a possible revenge game for Batum on the other side of tonight’s Hornets-Blazers matchup. He comes back to Portland where he played the first seven seasons of his NBA career.  Batum has been putting together nice, balanced numbers lately with at least 32 fantasy points in four of his last five and six of his last eight. He had 19-7-7 against the Kings last Saturday, and he should be a little extra-montivated to be aggressive tonight. When He faced the Blazers a couple weeks ago, he had 17-7-7 for 32.9 fantasy points, and I think that’s his floor tonight with plenty of upside as well.

Lou Williams-Los Angeles Lakers (6,200): Williams gets a great matchup tonight against the Nuggets who have allowed more fantasy points to opposing SG than any other team in the NBA this season. Williams has scored 20+ points in five of his last six games with over 34 fantasy points in four of his last six. Williams is a little risky tonight only because D’Angelo Russell will return and crowd the Lakers backcourt, but Williams is still worth a look since he had 41.3 fantasy points against the Lakers two weeks ago on 24-4-7 and should still find a way to get 25+ minutes especially given his recent production.
