DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 1
High Salary SF
LeBron James-Cleveland Cavaliers (10,200): LeBron will take his new “attitude” to the floor tonight as he and the Cavs try to shake off a rough January and start off February with a good game against the Timberwolves. Everyone is expecting James to explode and go huge given his recent public comments and the controversy. If we get “Angry LeBron” tonight it could be close to “Playoff LeBron” who is an unstoppable fantasy force. He hasn’t reached 60 fantasy points in any of his last three games, but he does continue to hover around a triple-double with 20+ points almost every game. On Monday, he did have a strong 23-9-9 for 49.75 fantasy points against the Mavericks, and since he’s only a little over 10K he should at least be near full-value as the Cavs come home and host the Wolves.∗∗∗
Paul George-Indiana Pacers (8,100): PG13 has at least 45 fantasy points in four straight and is coming off a big game on Sunday against the Rockets when he had 33-9-3 for 53.25 fantasy points. Tonight, he gets a great matchup with Orlando who has allowed the third-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing SF over their last five games and the fifth-most on the season. George has been shooting extremely well and will look to keep that rolling tonight. He’ll be looking to score 30 points for the fifth straight game as he and the Pacers take the floor in Orlando tonight.∗∗∗∗
Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (7,500): Melo also gets a great matchup against the Nets who are the worst team in the NBA at defending opposing SF. Anthony only had 32.25 fantasy points last night on 26-5-0, but he has at least that many fantasy points in seven straight including three games with at least 51 fantasy points. Against the Nets, there should be plenty of fantasy points to go around, but there is a little bit of risk of a blowout as well.∗∗∗
Harrison Barnes-Dallas Mavericks (6,300): Barnes came up big for Dallas against LeBron and the Cavs on Monday totaling 44.25 fantasy points on 24-11-3 and a steal. He has at least 33 fantasy points in three of his last four and has shaken off a bit of slump from the middle of the month. The 76ers were horrible against opposing SF early in the season, but they have gotten much better lately. Tonight, Philly is without Robert Covington, though, which could improve Barnes’s matchup considerably.∗∗∗
