FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 1
High Salary C
Karl-Anthony Towns-Minnesota Timberwolves (10,900): Towns has posted double-doubles in 17 of his last 18 games and continues to be a very consistent producer for Minnesota. He had 23-12-7 and three blocks for 48.9 fantasy points against the Magic on Monday and has at least that many fantasy points in five of his last six. The Cavs have been pretty good against opposing centers this season, but Towns has been good enough to be my favorite five-figure play of the day.∗∗∗
Marc Gasol-Memphis Grizzlies (8,800): Gasol has posted back-to-back games with 30.3 and 31.7 fantasy points which aren’t really enough to make him worth this salary. Before that, he had run off six straight games with 41 fantasy points, though, including 55.1 fantasy points and 57.4 fantasy points against the Blazers and Raptors. Tonight, he’ll take on the Nuggets who will be short-handed up front with Nikola Jokic unlikely to return. ∗∗
Andre Drummond-Detroit Pistons (8,700): Drummond is coming off a monster game on Monday against Monster and is in a great matchup tonight against New Orleans (who played OT last night). Drummond had 65.9 fantasy points on 28-22-3 against Boston after a solid 17-20-1 for 51.5 fantasy points against Miami on Saturday. He has been a regular double-double threat when he plays big minutes but there have been a few duds where game situation or fouls have limited his minutes. The Pelicans have been beaten up down low all season, and Drummond is in a great plac to attack their tired legs at home tonight at The Palace.∗∗∗∗
Nikola Vucevic-Orlando Magic (7,000): Vucevic is still affordably priced despite posting 33+ fantasy points in three of his last four games. His best game during that stretch came in Toronto on Sunday when he had 25-10-5 and four blocks for 52.5 fantasy points. He gets a good matchup against Indiana tonight who he had 18-11-1 against for 37.7 fantasy points back on New Year’s Day in their last meeting.∗∗∗
Myles Turner-Indiana Pacers (6,800): In that same game, Turner has 23-12-3 for 44.9 fantasy points against Vucevic and the Magic. He had only been over 40 fantasy points once since that game until Sunday when he posted 18-10-0 with four blocks and three steals for 43 fantasy points. He has over 30 fantasy points in four straight now, and is a good play in this matchup. I prefer him to Vucevic just because of his upside.∗∗∗∗
