High Value SG

Wesley Matthews-Dallas Mavericks (5,600): The Mavs somehow pulled off a huge pair of wins taking on the Spurs and Cavs on back-to-back nights. One of the main reasons why was the return and solid play of Wesley Matthews. Matthews had 17-7-3 for 32.9 fantasy points against San Antonio and 21-4-2 for 28.8 fantasy points against Cleveland. He has at least 27 fantasy points in each of his last four games not cut short by injury, and he looked healthy this weekend. As he and the Mavs host Philadelphia, look for Matthews to keep rolling.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,600): KCP has posted two strong games in his three since returning from a shoulder injury that cost him a chunk in the middle of the month. Caldwell-Pope had 18-3-3 for 29.1 fantasy points against Boston on Monday and has at least 29 fantasy points in four of his last five healthy games. He definitely can contribute over value at this price when he’s on his game which he should be in a good matchup with a possibly-weary New Orleans team tonight.

Gary Harris-Denver Nuggets (5,000): Harris has over 31 fantasy points in three ofh is five games since returning from injury and had 17-4-4 with four steals in LA last night for 31.8 fantasy points. He comes home tonight as the Nuggets take on Memphis, but since he looks healthy and back to his full role, give him a look even though the matchup is less than ideal.

Courtney Lee-New York Knicks (4,800): Lee crashed back to earth with just 11.5 fantasy points last night against the Wizards on 5-5-1. He had been rolling before that, though with 32+ fantasy points in three straight (including the 4OT game) and at least 13 points scored in five straight. Lee is a boom-or-bust bounce-back option as he faces the Nets who should be a great matchup for him to get back on track against.

Norman Powell-Toronto Raptors (4,200): Powell got another start with DeMar DeRozan out, and Powell stepped up with 18-4-3, two blocks, and two steals for 32.3 fantasy points. He has over 25 fantasy points in four of his last five games which is great value for this price. Since the Raptors ruled DeRozan out tonight, Powell is a good play against Boston who he already  had one good game against earlier this year when he had 20-3-2 with five steals in a spot start in December.

Iman Shumpert-Cleveland Cavaliers (4,100): Shumpert had a down game in Cleveland’s loss to Dallas only ending up with 12.8 fantasy points on 8-4-0. Before that game, though, he had 20+ fantasy points in six of his previous eight contests, and he’ll continue to start next to LeBron James and Kyrie Irving since J.R. Smith is still a ways from returning. Shumpert doesn’t have a  high ceiling but he’s fairly reliable for a 4K player.
