High Value C

Greg Monroe-Milwaukee Bucks (5,300): The Bucks traded away one big-man as they dealt Miles Plumlee to Charlotte, but the move won’t open up time for Monroe necessarily since they got back both Roy Hibbert and Spencer Hawes. Hibbert and Hawes won’t be available tonight, though, which could mean more run for Monroe. He has huge upside as he showed with 14-13-1, three blocks, and three steals for 44.75 fantasy points against Boston, but he also has some games where he almost completely disappears like when he had just 13 fantasy points against the Raptors or 22.25 fantasy points against the Jazz sandwiched around that monster performance. Monroe remains a boom-or-bust play at just over 5K.

Clint Capela-Houston Rockets (4,700): Capela had a big game last night in a matchup with his former teammate Dwith Howard. He had 22-9-0 and 38.25 fantasy points against the Hawks while logging 31 minutes. Capela doesn’t usually play north of 30 minutes, so I’m not sure how much he’ll play tonight against the Bulls. Coach Mike D’Antoni decided not to use Montrezl Harrell last night, but could throw him back into the mix tonight while limiting Capela’s minutes. I’ve been in on Capela most of the season, and I still love his upside. He’ll be looking for his seventh straight game with over 20 fantasy points, but don’t set expectations too high after last night’s monster game.

Robin Lopez-Chicago Bulls (4,200): Don’t forget that in that game last night, Dwight Howard had huge numbers against the Rockets whose interior defense has bee suspect this season. RoLo will look to take advantage of the same matchup tonight. Lopez has been playing well in his two games this weeks with 21-10-2 and 44 fantasy points against the Sixers and 14-2-0 in just 21 minutes for 18.5 fantasy points against the Thunder. He’s less risky than Capela tonight since he’s not on the second half of a back-to-back, but his ceiling is a bit lower.∗∗∗

Salah Mejri-Dalas Mavericks (3,600): If you want a high-risk, high-upside play in the middle for under 4K, check out the Mavericks’ Salah Mejri who should get some time tonight in a good matchup against the Blazers. He is coming off an exceptional 16-17-0 game on Wednesday when he had 42.25 fantasy points agianst the Sixers, and he should get playing time again tonight with Andrew Bogut out.
