High Value SG

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,900): On Wednesday, KCP was a DFS stud with 55.5 fantasy points on 38-4-1 and four steals. He has over 30 fantasy points in three of his four games since returning from a shoulder injury and had at least 29  in four of his last five before going down after just four minutes in his contest against Golden State. The Pistons are running their scoring through him right now, and he’s red-hot from the field and in a good matchup with Minnesota tonight.∗∗∗

Seth Curry-Dallas Mavericks (5,800): Another SG on the rise is Seth Curry who struggled early in Dallas’s last game but ended up with a very solid 42.75 fantasy points on 22-3-6 and four steals against the Sixers on Wednesday. Curry has at least 34 fantasy points in three of his last five games, and he should be very involved in tonight’s game against Portland. He only had 12-0-0 for 14 fantasy points the last time these teams met, but his recent form has been much better and he rolls into tonight with double-digit points in nine straight games.∗∗

Wesley Matthews-Dallas Mavericks (5,300): Like his former teammate Nicolas Batum on Tuesday, Wesley Matthews returns to the Pacific Northwest to take on the Blazers in a possible revenge game tonight. Matthews cooled off a little on Wednesday with just 9-6-1 for 18 fantasy points after running off six games in his previous seven complete contests with at least 27 fantasy points. He did deal with a hip injury in the middle of that  run but looked strong with 17-7-3 for 34.75 fantasy points against the Spurs and 21-4-2 for 30 fantasy points against the Cavs in his first two games back. When he faced the Blazers earlier this year, Matthews had over 30 fantasy points on 16-4-3, and he’ll be a good value if he’s near that production tonight.∗∗∗

Nick Young-Los Angeles Lakers (4,200): Young was a really nice value until hitting a bump in the road last night and totaling just 8.75 fantasy points on 7-1-0 against the Wizards. However, he had at least 18 fantasy points in six of his previous seven games, so he may be ready to bounce right back tonight against Boston who usually plays the up-tempo, free-shooting style that helped Swaggy P put up good numbers. He’s volatile as you can see from his 23-3-3 for 35.25 fantasy points on Tuesday followed by his 8.2 fantasy points last night.∗∗

Allen Crabbe-Portland Trail Blazers (3,900): Crabbe has scored at least 20 points in two of his last three games for the Blazers and has at least 28 fantasy points in each of those contests. On Tuesday against Charlotte, Crabbe had 21-4-0 for 30.75 fantasy points, and he will look to keep that momentum going tonight against the Mvas after posting14-6-1 and over 20 fantasy points against in their last meeting.

Malachi Richardson-Sacramento Kings (3,000): Is it finally Malachi time? The Kings rookie could finally be getting consistent court time now that Garrett Temple is injured and out along with Rudy Gay. Richardson has shown flashes of potential this season including 8-3-0 in 19 minutes on Tuesday. If he gets 20+ minutes of playing time on a regular basis, I think he’ll be a great cheap play, but he’s still extremely high-risk at this point since it isn’t clear exactly how the SG and SF rotation will look now that Garrett and Gay are both gone.
