High Salary SG

James Harden-Houston Rockets (12,200): Harden shook off a mini shooting slump and poured in 41-8-8 and 66.6 fantasy points last night against the Hawks. It wasn’t enough, though, as the Rockets took a tough loss to Tim Hardaway Jr. and their former-teammate Dwight Howard. Tonight, Harden and Houston will try to turn things around as they host the Bulls. Harden can definitely carry your fantasy team any night, but he’s also a huge investment that needs to come through for you to have a chance if you drop 12K+ on him.

C.J. McCollum-Portland Trail Blazers (7,800): McCollum has been finding some success lately even after Damian Lillard returned from injury. McCollum has at least 31 fantasy points in four of his last five games dating back to his monster 35-2-3 for 47.9 fantasy points against the Celtics back on 1/21. More recently, McCollum had 28-7-3 for 38.9 fantasy points against he Warriors on Sunday and 18-2-4 for 31.4 fantasy points against the Hornets Tuesday. Tonight, he takes on Wes Matthews and the Mavericks, and I like his upside even though he’s still a little over-priced.

Dwyane Wade-Chicago Bulls (7,800): I actually like Wade a little better than McCollum tonight since the Rockets have been beat up by opposing SG as Hardaway showed us again last night. Wade has over 40 fantasy points in four of his last six games including his 18-7-7 in just 24 minutes against the Thunder on Wednesday. Since he didn’t have to play a ton of minutes, Wade should be well enough rested to take advantage of the Rockets fourth-worst SG defense in the NBA.

Devin Booker-Phoenix Suns (6,900): Booker’s streak of 20+ point games has now reached 14 after his 20-6-4 for 34.8 fantasy points against the Clippers on Wednesday. The good non-scoring numbers are encouraging for his upside tonight as he faces the Kings who have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points per game this season to opposing SG. Booker is lower-risk than Wade or McCollum and since he costs less I actually like him more.

Seth Curry-Dallas Mavericks (6,300): Curry struggled early in Dallas’s last game but turned things around with a big second half to total 39.6 fantasy points on 22-3-6 and four steals against the Sixers on Wednesday. Curry has at least 32 fantasy points in three of his last five games, and he should be very involved in tonight’s game against Portland. He only had 12-0-0 for 14 fantasy points the last time these teams met, but his recent form has been much better and he rolls into tonight with double-digit points in nine straight games. He’s over-priced since he’s still up-and-down a bit, but he’s definitely trending upward.
