FanDuel daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 3
High Value SF
P.J. Tucker-Phoenix Suns (4,700): Although there are 18 teams on the floor tonight, there aren’t a ton of cheap SF options to take a look at who have good upside. Tucker is a consistent option for the Suns and is in a good matchup which is enough to earn him a look at under 5K. Tucker is coming off a nice double-double against the Clippers on Wednesday when he had 10-14-2 for 33.8 fantasy points. He has at least 24 fantasy points in five of his last seven games and has scored double-digit points in six of those seven contests. He doesn’t have an extremely high ceiling, but he is a low-risk play against the Kings who are running out of SF options.∗∗∗
Rondae Hollis-Jefferson-Brooklyn Nets (4,300): The Nets switched up their lineup on Wednesday inserting RHJ at the starting PF spot in place of Trevor Booker who came off the bench. Hollis-Jefferson responded with 16-8-3 for 28.1 fantasy points against the Knicks and now has at least 20 fantasy points in three of his last four games and six of his last ten. If he starts again and plays 30 minute tonight against the Pacers he’ll have a high ceiling and be worth a look at this very affordable price. If starting-∗∗∗ Not starting-∗
Shabazz Muhammad-Minnesota Timberwolves (4,100): Muhammad is also moving into a bigger role with Minnesota although he hasn’t moved into the starting lineup yet. He played 31 minutes agist the Cavs on Wednesday, though, and posted 16-6-2 for 28.2 fantasy points. He has at least 21 fantasy points in four of his last six games and is worth a look even in a tough matchup with the Pistons tonight.∗∗
Matt Barnes-Sacramento Kings (3,700): Despite his on-going legal issues, Barnes is expected to be available tonight against Phoenix and could get extra playing time with Garrett Temple out along with Rudy Gay. Barnes has at leas t20 fantasy points in each of his last two games after 16-3-2 for 23.6 fantasy points against the Sixers and 5-11-3 for 20.7 fantasy points against the Rockets. He’s a roll-of-the-dice, but if you decide you need someone under 4K at SF, he’s the best of the bunch.∗
