High Value C

Tristan Thompson-Cleveland Cavaliers (5,000): Coming into tonight’s game against the Knicks, Thompson has three double-doubles in his last four games. He is a boom or bust play which is easy to see from his 52.5 and 55 fantasy points sandwiched around an ugly game with zero points and only 9.5 fantasy points. Kevin Love is returning tonight which could get down on T2’s usage, but I still think he has a lot of upside for a 5K option in the middle.

Guillermo Hernangomez-New York Knicks (4,500): On the other side of that matchup is another high-risk, high-upside option. Hernangomez has been great over his last few games with 15-14-4 for 39.5 fantasy points against the Wizards in a spot start on Tuesday and followed that with an even more surprising 16-16-2 for 46 fantasy points against the Nets the next night while he was coming off the bench. His role for tonight’s game against Cleveland is unclear, but he should have earned more playing time with his two big games.

JaVale McGee-Golden State Warriors (3,700): McGee has been starting for the Warriors but still only playing limited minutes. Despite playing no more than 17 minutes, he had 21.5 fantasy points against the Hornets and 24.5 fantasy points against the Clippers in his last two games. Tonight, the Warriors may need to play him more against DeMarcus Cousins, and if McGee continues to produce at the same per-minute level he’ll be a strong play again tonight.∗∗∗
