DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-February 4
High Value SG
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (5,900): KCP cooled off last night was Marcus Morris carried the scoring load for Detroit. It was Caldwell-Pope who went off on Wednesday with 55.5 fantasy points on 38-4-1 while he shot a sizzling 12-18. He apparently misplaced his shot before last night’s game, though, since he went just 1-7 for 2-5-5 and 19.25 fantasy points. Tonight’s game against Indiana will probably result in something between those two extremes something like the 29.75 fantasy points he had against them earlier this month on 16-3-5.∗∗∗
Tim Hardaway Jr.-Atlanta Hawks (5,100): Hardaway was a great play in my DraftKings daily picks on Thursday as he went off with 33-6-3 for 47.5 fantasy points. He also had 38.75 fantasy points last Sunday on 19-5-8 against the Knicks. He isn’t the most consistent option, though as you can see from his 19.0 fantasy points in the game between those two big performances. Hardaway is still boom-or-bust, but he’s definitely getting his chance to go “boom” since the Korver trade. If Thabo Sefolosha is out again tonight, there should be plenty of time for Hardaway to take on the Magic.∗∗
Evan Fournier-Orlando Magic (5,000): On the other side of that matchup, Fournier will look to continue to work his way back to 100% after missing most of the second half of January with a foot injury. Fournier looked good last night against Toronto with 20-10-4 for 40 fantasy points against the DeMar DeRozan-less Raptors. Fournier did play 36 minutes, though, so there is the fatigue factor to consider as he heads to Atlanta tonight.∗∗∗
Iman Shumpert-Cleveland Cavaliers (4,100): Shumpert is in a possible revenge game as he comes back to the Garden after the Knicks traded him to the Cavs. Shumpert has at least 25 fantasy points in three of his last five games and at least 22 in seven of his last ten since joining the Cavs’ lineup. He can contribute across the statsheet when he’s at his best, and he’ll be in a good matchup and motivated to post big totals against the Knicks.∗∗∗
Danny Green-San Antonio Spurs (3,900): After his 12-4-0 for 22 fantasy points against the Sixers on Thursday, Green has at least 19 fantasy points in five straight games. He’s low-risk with a low ceiling tonight as he faces the Nuggets who have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing SG this season.∗∗∗
Alec Burks-Utah Jazz (3,400): If you have to go ultra-cheap, you can take a risk with Burks who should get a bump in minutes with Rodney Hood out. Burks has scored in double-digits in five of his last six games with over 20 fantasy points in three of those games. He struggled a bit on Wednesday despite playing 25 minutes which makes him a gamble against the Hornets especially since his role is unclear.∗
