High Value SG

Tim Hardaway Jr.-Atlanta Hawks (5,200): Hardaway went off in the fourth quarter against the Rockets on Thursday and ended up with 33-6-3 for 43.7 fantasy points. He also had 38 fantasy points last Sunday on 19-5-8 against the Knicks but sandwiched a game with just 17.8 fantasy points between those two big performances. Hardaway is still boom-or-bust, but he’s definitely getting his chance to boom since the Kyle Korver trade and should be lined up for another start if Thabo Sefolosha is still sidelined. Atlanta is home tonight against Orlando.∗∗

Evan Fournier-Orlando Magic (5,000): On the other side of that matchup, Fournier will look to continue to work his way back to 100% after missing most of the second half of January with a foot injury. Fournier looked good last night against Toronto with 20-10-4 for 36 fantasy points against the DeMar DeRozan-less Raptors. Fournier did play 36 minutes, though, so there is the fatigue factor to consider as he heads to Atlanta tonight.∗∗∗

Iman Shumpert-Cleveland Cavaliers (4,200): Shumpert returns to the Garden tonight with the Cavs for a potential revenge game against the Knicks. Shumpert has at least 22 fantasy points in three of his last five games and at least 20 in seven of his last ten since joining the Cavs’ lineup. He can contribute across the statsheet when he’s at his best, and he’ll be in a good matchup and motivated to post big totals against the Knicks.

Danny Green-San Antonio Spurs (3,800): Green has at least 17 fantasy points in five straight games after 20.8 fantasy points against the Sixers on Thursday on 12-4-0 and two steals. He’s low-risk with a low ceiling tonight as he faces the Nuggets who have allowed the most fantasy points per game to opposing SG this season.∗∗∗

Alec Burks-Utah Jazz (3,500): If you have to go all the way to the minimum at SG, you can take a risk with Burks who should get a bump in minutes with Rodney Hood out. Burks has scored in double-digits in five of his last six games with over 20 fantasy points in three of those games. He’s a gamble against the Hornets especially since he will still come off the bench with an undefined role tonight.
