Tobias Harris forgets how to dribble (Video)

Dribbling is hard. Just ask Tobias Harris.
When you learn how to play basketball, one of the first things you’re taught how to do is dribble the ball. The action is nearly as old as the game itself, added as a necessity after players began to get trapped in corners on the court and couldn’t pass the ball to a teammate.
The basic process of dribbling is simple: you use one hand to bounce the ball off the floor repetitively until you reach your destination. Well, even for the best players in the world, dribbling is not always so easy:
Dribbling is even harder when you trip over your teammate’s foot. Now, we should give the Detroit Pistons’ Tobias Harris some credit here. It was easy to be distracted in his situation. Look at Aron Baynes’ hair — the shaved sides with the little man bun on top no doubt drew the attention of Harris as he looked to create space for a shot and caught Baynes’ foot on his way to the ground.
The original rules of basketball were written in 1891. We’re well over 100 years into the game and those playing it still aren’t perfect and dribbling, one of its oldest principles, is still unrefined by even the best who play the sport.
Harris may yearn for the days of basketball when passing was the only allowable way to advance the ball up the court after this one. At least then he wouldn’t be falling down on the internet in perpetuity.
