High Value PG

Tyler Johnson, MIA at MIN ($5800): Johnson has been solid all season when he’s been healthy. Before his most recent shoulder injury, he had averaged 16.7 points, 4.4 boards, 2.6 assists, 2.3 combined steals/blocks and only 0.7 turnovers in the previous seven games. He had a slow first game back from injury, but in his last two he has averaged 13.5 points, 5.5 assists, 4.5 boards, 3.0 combined blocks/steals and 1.5 turnovers in 33 minutes in his usual sixth-man role. On Monday he faces a Timberwolves defense that has been average against point guards, allowing the 14th-most fantasy points to the position. ***

Yogi Ferrell, DAL at DEN ($5600): Ferrell’s production ties directly to the availability of Deron Williams. Williams is a game-time decision on Monday with a toe injury that has kept him out of the last five games, and if he plays then Ferrell is no longer recommended. But if Williams sits again, Ferrell returns to the player that has averaged 20.7 points, 4.3 assists, 3.3 boards, 2.0 combined blocks/steals and 2.0 turnovers in 38.3 minutes over the last three games. On Monday he’d have a prize match-up against a Nuggets defense that has allowed more fantasy points to point guards than any other defense in the NBA over the last 10 games. No Williams: ****; With Williams: **

Darren Collison, SAC vs CHI ($4800): Collison has been up-and-down. He had a three-game stretch a bit over a week ago in which he averaged 22 points, 4.0 assists, 2.4 combined blocks/steals and 2.3 boards with only three turnovers. Then, he hit a two-game spell where he disappeared to the tune of 6.5 points, 3.0 assists and not much else in 25 minutes. In his last two he has bounced back a bit for 18.5 points, 2.0 assists, 2.0 boards, 0.5 steals and 2.0 turnovers. On Monday he’ll look to find some consistency against a Bulls defense that has allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to point guards in the NBA over the last 10 games. ***
