High Value SG

Victor Oladipo, OKC at IND ($5700): Oladipo bounced back from a terrible game against a tough Grizzlies defense on Friday with a huge game against the Trail Blazers on Sunday, scoring 24 points with a season-high 13 rebounds, three assists, two steals, two blocks and four turnovers. Over his last nine games, he has averaged a respectable 16.1 points, 5.1 boards, 2.2 steals, 2.1 assists, 0.7 blocks and only 1.3 turnovers. On Monday he will be on the second half of a back-to-back, against a Pacers unit that has allowed the 13th-most fantasy points to shooting guards on the season but that has cracked down to the second-fewest fantasy points allowed over the last five games. **

Wesley Matthews, DAL at DEN ($5600): Matthews is the third Mavericks guard on this list today, as he also has found his level offensively of late. He has three strong games in his last four, a stretch over which he has averaged 18.5 points, 5.8 boards, 2.3 assists, 0.5 steals and 1.0 turnovers. Of the three Mavs guards listed, Matthews is the one whose production should be most robust in the face of Deron Williams’ eventual return, as his position on the team is secure. On Monday he also has a great match-up, against a Nuggets defense that has allowed the most fantasy points to shooting guards this season. ***

Norman Powell, TOR vs LAC ($4800): Powell’s days as an impact producer for the Raptors are numbered, and may be over on Monday. Powell has ably replaced DeMar DeRozan as the latter recuperates from an ankle injury, averaging 14.5 points, 4.3 boards, 2.3 assists, 1.6 combined steals/blocks and 2.5 turnovers in 35.8 minutes over the last four games after averaging 187 points, 5.0 boards, 1.7 assists, 1.3 combined steals/blocks and 1.0 turnovers in the first three games that DeRozan missed in the last few weeks. DeRozan was able to partially practice on Saturday, so he likely returns soon, but he is still listed as a game-time decision for Monday. If Powell does get another start Monday, he will face a Clippers defense that has allowed the 11th-fewest fantasy points to shooting guards this season. **
