High Salary SG

James Harden, HOU vs ORL ($12,700): Harden is WAY the most expensive player in the game on Tuesday, checking in at almost $4k more than second place Kemba Walker ($8900). But, there is good reason for this as Harden is coming off back-to-back games in which he averaged 70.3 fantasy points. Harden did have a couple of down games before that, though, making him the definition of boom or bust in his last five outings with 73.9, 66.6, 27.4, 31, and 87.1 fantasy points over that stretch. On Tuesday he faces another relatively weak defense in the Magic, who have allowed the fifth-most points to point guards over the past 10 games. Harden is fully expected to have the highest fantasy point total of the night, but his price tag costs him a star. ****

C.J. McCollum, POR at DAL ($8200): McCollum has settled in as a similar caliber producer to running mate Damian Lillard in recent weeks, but with higher variance. Over the last seven games, McCollum is averaging 35.2 fantasy points but with both a higher ceiling (47.9 fantasy points) and a lower floor (20.8 fantasy points) than Lillard over that stretch. On Tuesday, McCollum faces a Mavericks defense that has been tough, allowing the 10th-fewest fantasy points to shooting guards on the season and the eighth-fewest over the past 10 games. However, McCollum just faced those Mavericks last week and burned them for 28 points, seven boards and six assists. ***

Nicolas Batum, CHA vs BKN ($7400): Batum has averaged 14.1 points, 6.8 boards, 6.7 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.3 blocks and 3.5 turnovers in the 12 games since he returned from hyper-extended his knee. But he has been up and down, with one game over 40 fantasy points and two under 20 fantasy points in that stretch. He is coming off of one of those down games, a 19.6 fantasy points effort in Utah, but he has a much better match-up on Tuesday against a Nets defense that has allowed the second-most fantasy points to shooting guards this season.
