3. Jack Doyle

After totaling 35 receptions for 209 yards and three touchdowns over hs first three seasons, Doyle had a breakout season in 2016 with 59 catches for 584 yard and five touchdowns. More precisely, Doyle clearly out-produced fellow Colts’ tight end Dwayne Allen (35 receptions for 406 yards), who signed a four-year deal last offseason.

Last month, before finally being relieved of his duties, former Colts’ general manager Ryan Grigson said he “definitely” wanted to re-sign Doyle. It’s unclear if new general manager Chris Ballard shares that thought on any level, but retaining Doyle as a solid, reliable target for quarterback Andrew Luck has to be on the radar for Indianapolis.

Doyle is not likely to get an inflated contract this offseason, like Julius Thomas did two years ago that the Jaguars now definitely regret. But Doyle should have no trouble getting a nice multi-year deal with a good chunk of guaranteed money, from the Colts or another team. Even if this past season stands as his career year, Doyle should have some good, productive years ahead of him.
